Freedom and MLK…

Each day I check my emails and go I go through the hundreds of junk emails that I receive. I do subscribe to one called Thoughtful Mind. Today I received this quote:

“Our greatest happiness does not depend on the condition of life in which chance has placed us, but is always the result of a good conscience, good health, occupation, and freedom in all just pursuits.”

― Thomas Jefferson

This made me think about our holiday yesterday… MLK Day. I know MLK is best known for his role in the advancement of civil rights using nonviolent civil disobedience and how that still plays a major role in today’s society. I, personally, have been struggling with my career choice and how stagnant that has become.

Life is not where you end up but how you decide to get there. So instead of not being so happy about your situations maybe it is up to you to change it. Which I am pretty sure what MLK was implying! Only I can do change my life to become the life I want it to be. I have that freedom and the choices to make this life what I want it to be.

Have a great day!
